Team USA Heads to Pan American Games
Olympic Games Berth On Line

Indianapolis, Ind. – Later this month, the United States Synchronized Swimming National Team will leave training in the San Francisco Bay area to head to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the 2007 Pan American Games. For the first time in the history of the sport, the Pan Am Games will serve as the qualifier for the Olympic Games. Team USA must bring home gold medals in order to secure an Olympic berth.

With the increased importance placed on the Pan American Games, the United States hand picked its team in April of 2007, marking the first 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for any sport.

The synchronized swimming competition will include both the team and duet events and will run from July 25-28. The competition schedule is as follows:
July 25 Tech Duet
July 26 Tech Team
July 27 Free Duet
July 28 Free Team
