U.S. Masters Make Waves in Tucson
2007 U.S. Masters Championships held Oct. 25-27

Tucson, Ariz. - The 2007 U.S. Masters Synchronized Swimming Championships got underway on Thursday at the University of Arizona Rec Center Pool. The 33rd annual event features some of the world's top masters synchronized swimmers ranging between the ages of 20 to 85+ years old, as they vie for overall team and individual titles in the solo, duet, trio, team and combo events.

Thursday’s competition featured the solo finals. Top finishers for the day included:

Ruth Thompson, Michigan Synchro Masters, 40-49 grandmaster
Becky Meitin, Alpine Angelfish*, 50-59 age group
Nancy Weiman, D.C. Synchromasters, 50-59 grandmaster
Sue Bessette, Ramapo Aquamasters, 60-69 age group
Jeanne Carlson, Dayton Synchronettes, 70-79 age group
