Columbus, Ohio –
The 32nd annual U.S. Collegiate Synchronized Swimming Championships completed semifinal competition today at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on the campus of the Ohio State University. The Championships will run through Saturday, March 29 and are an open-class meet, combining competition from NCAA Divisions I, II, and III and NAIA colleges and universities.

The Ohio State University “A” Team (97.000) finished the day in the top position in the team semifinal event followed by Stanford University (95.500). The Ohio State “B” Team followed in the third place position. Finals will begin Saturday at 8:30 a.m. and will determine champions in the solo, duet, trio and team events. The awards ceremony will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Stanford University (Palo Alto, Calif.) will be in search of its fourth straight National Championship title while host team the Ohio State University will be looking to add to its collection of 24 National Championships. Other top contenders include the University of the Incarnate Word (San Antonio, Texas) and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (Birmingham, Ala.) who claimed third and fourth places respectively in 2007.
