2003 HISTORY REPORT

Pat Patterson continues to keep our scrapbooks at the Hall of Fame up to date. This is important because people from all over the world go there to see the history of all the aquatic disciplines. They have viewing booths where visitors may see movies and videos, so we need to keep them supplied with Synchro films and videos, and current and past rulebooks and publications. For this purpose we need help from all of you. Now is the time to collect memories from all of you who remember the forties, fifties and sixties. Interviewing people who were there then would be a good project for today's athletes. Find a person in each association who would know when and how meets were started. We would like to hear about them and how they have grown into today's multi level activities.

Dawn Bean is working on a colossal task: scanning Synchro Magazine onto CD-ROM. I'm sure she would welcome help from some young computer whiz volunteer.

We would like for our athletes of today to become aware of the rich history of Synchro. To that end, we would like to develop a portable display of pictures and videos that could travel to National meets. I'm sure such a display would draw a good crowd, especially if it included a continuous showing of very early meets. I heard somewhere about a National meet held in a lake, though I have no information about it. Do any of you remember that?
HELP!
