This year's convention packets have been mailed to all members of the Board of Governors. In order to expedite communication of convention news this same information has been posted below.
Convention Registration:
All persons attending any meetings at the convention must be registered. Registration fees are:
-$110.00 - postmarked by August 1, 2003
-$135.00 - postmarked by August 2, 2003 or later
Please send your registration form and fee to: Ellaine Cox, United States Aquatic Sports, 17575 Darden Rd., South Bend, IN 46635. If you need to cancel you must do so in writing by August 30, 2003 in order to receive a full refund.
Hotel Reservations:
Reservations will be handled through the Town and Country Resort by returning the reservation form to the hotel or by calling the hotel at 1 (800) 772-8527. Call for reservations early! If changes need to be made concerning your reservations you MUST call the hotel directly. See the reservation form for detailed information including rates.
If you are in need of a handicapped room, please indicate that when making your reservations.
To receive the convention rate be sure to mention that you are with United States Aquatic Sports Convention.
You may register (as a convention delegate) without making room reservations at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center.

August Convention Packet:

USSS OFFICER ELECTIONS
Officer elections for the U.S. Synchronized Swimming Board of Directors will take place prior to the Board of Governors meeting at the 2003 USAS Convention. The positions up for election include: Executive Vice President, Technical VP, Marketing VP, and Education VP. All positions are elected for a two-year term. Members interested in serving as a National Officer should submit the following materials by Aug. 1, 2003 to Margaret Forbes, 131 Brightwood Place, San Antonio, TX 78209:

. Biography identifying related experience (may include non-synchro experience, where applicable).
. Any platforms or ideas, goals or methods of attainment related to the office sought.

LEVEL 1 CCP CHALLENGE TEST
Don't miss this opportunity to challenge the Level 1 Coaching Certification Program course. September 10, 2003, 8:30-10:30pm, Sunset Room. Cost is $55 at the door, Sunset Room, 8:30-10:30pm. The test is open to all USA Synchro members.

JUDGES EXAMS TO BE GIVEN AT CONVENTION
Level 7 Officials training is being held Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 9am-1pm. Training is open to Level 6 judges who are retaining or who have to take their test for the second time. It is also open to all Level 6-7-8 judges who wish to review. Cost for the course is $25.00 payable to USSS. (Current level 7 and 8 judges need not pay).
Level 4 and 5 Training is being offered Wednesday, Sept. 10 from 9am to noon. Cost is $10.00 payable to USSS. Level 4 and 5 is open to all wishing to get a Level 4, 5, or 6 rating.
Those who wish to take the Training for Level 7 or for Levels 4/5 must register and send a check to: Carol Tackett

Written exams for all levels of judging will be given at convention on Wednesday, September 10, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM.
Fees for the exams are:
Regional (Level IV-F, IV-R) $10.00
Zone (Level V-F, V-Z) $10.00
National (Level VI-F, VI-N) $20.00
