1. Favorite color.
A really deep red, or a super bright orange it depends.
2. Favorite food.
Chili and Cream cheese with Ritz crackers. C’mon!
It’s a Texas dip favorite!
3. Favorite movie.
Probably “10 things I hate about you”, I’ve watched that movie way too many times, or “Grease.” I am a sucker for musicals.
4. A song you never get tired of listening to.
At the moment it is “If Today Was Your Last Day” by Nickelback
5. Favorite book or item to read.
I will always be a Harry Potter fan! Though I am always up to read a new book.
6. Do you have any pets?
I have a smooth Fox-Terrier named Song, and an Arabian horse named Ally.
7. Have you ever traveled outside the country? If so, where?
I’ve only ever traveled out of the country for synchro, but so far I have been to Zurich, Switzerland; St. Petersburg, Russia; and Rome, Italy three times (make that four for the FINA World Championshps in 2009!)
8. What’s your favorite place you’ve ever visited?
Rome. I love seeing all the old architecture that’s still standing and working as if not a year had gone by since its original use.
9. Do you have a favorite memory? Or some incident or thing that makes you smile whenever you remember it?
Probably when I was horseback riding, and I was with a group and the horses were spooked by something. Half of us ended up sitting in the middle of a creek bed instead of on our horses. After the shock wore off we had a water fight. I always laugh when I think back on how upset we were about having to walk around in wet jeans, shoes and tank tops.
10. If you weren’t involved in synchro, what would you be doing instead?
I guess you could say I have a small water obsession, but I feel like I’d definitely still be chasing my Olympic dream, it would just be in swimming.
11. Besides synchro, what is an area or topic you have a lot of knowledge about?
Horses and dogs. My parents used to train Arabian horses, and showed dogs professionally. I was brought up around them, which probably explains why I love them so much.
12. What’s at the top of your to-do list that is not synchro-related?
I would have answered “learn a different language.” Now however, I think it would be amazing to take a drawing class. It’s amazing the things that can be put down on paper with anything but an idea and a pencil.
13. It’s 11 o’clock on a Saturday night. What are you most likely doing?
Probably coming back from having an awesome time with my friends. Or already sleeping, depends on how the week had gone.
14. One word that best describes the person you are.
Lively. Or stubborn, depends on the day…or at least that’s what I’m told!
